About the Author

Rachel von Sturmer is a passionate wine writer who divides her time between Vancouver and the Okanagan/Similkameen in British Columbia, where she and her husband Deacon own a small organic vineyard.

She holds the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma, is a Judge on wines from Canada and the US at the prestigious International Wine & Spirits Competition, and a Vinitaly Italian Wine Ambassador. She received a Les Dames d'Escoffier wine scholarship, graduated at the top of her Culinary Diploma program at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA), and has appeared on CBC, Global and CTV News.
